Expert Secrets book review
Before you go any further: I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I am an affiliate for Expert Secrets. If you think that means that I’m going to tell you that this is the best book in the world and you should buy it, don’t worry.
I’m not going to tell you to buy Expert Secrets. All I ask is that you give me a fair shot to share my personal view on the book. Sound fair enough?
Okay, great! Now, let’s get on with the review.
What is Expert Secrets?
Expert Secrets is an explosively popular book that works as a field manual to online marketing and sales strategies.
The aim of Expert Secrets is to show you a model for taking your area of expertise and using it build a highly profitable business.
There are a lot of interesting concepts, such as pre-framing, value ladders and more that when implemented correctly can lead to exceptional increases in clients, up-selling and help you take people who have no idea what you are or what you do into loyal clients.
Because of the focus on building high converting sales funnels, Expert Secrets is also a useful resource for business outside of consultants of some form. Much of the advice can apply to more traditional business forms such as retail, and I have used the same principles for my freelancing business with success.

What can Expert Secrets help me do?
Expert Secrets is written with one goal in mind: to help you get more clients to spend more money on your products and services.
If you don’t want to grow your business, then this book isn’t for you.
Expert Secrets features a large number of real world case studies and examples to help you visualise the elements. The text itself is supported with helpful sketches to better explain the concepts. They’re a little childish – but they do get the point across effectively.
Who is it for?
If you’re a seasoned marketer, you might find some of the information to be nothing new. However, there are a number of ideas that are ripped straight from the process the author, Russell Brunson, used to build his own successful businesses such as Clickfunnels.
However, if you’ve spent the majority of your time becoming good at what you do, then you probably haven’t devoted years to studying the process of sales. In that case, you’re the core demographic. It’s not terribly important what industry you’re in, only that you want to grow it.
A lot of the concepts are presented in the manner of an online business, but truthfully there’s nothing to stop you from using most of the tactics and overall strategy through in-person business or on the phone – in fact, it’s a recommended suggestion that you take advantage of different ‘selling environments’.
Can I preview Expert Secrets without buying it?
Yes, you can actually read the first three chapters for free by clicking the link below.
Technically, the book itself is free (as of the time of writing) but you will need to pay for postage and packaging, which is slightly more if you’re outside of the US.
